May Internet Reign Down

With Matt's departure from the Humphrey's 5th Floor, the Internet has been disconnected as of last Friday. This doesn't terribly constrict my life style too terribly much, as I'm generally so busy being awesome, I nary have the time to spend surfing the internet.

Now, I have spent 6 months without internet in my household since I graduated
college in 2004, and before that, I only had internet in the dorms, but now that I'm a full-fledged working man, I figured why not spend $26.99 every month to stay connected. The central reasoning to go ahead and add on another nearly $30 a month in bills is simply so I am able to do quick searches on the internet for porn local Thai food.

I decided, ultimately, to sign up with Clearwire. Mostly due to my transient nature, as long as I stay within city limits I can take my internetting wherever and whenever. Also, I enjoy their choice of brand colors.

I'm a little worried though, as a 2 year contract makes my arteries contract and my pupils fix, but I think I should be fine. I've heard some good things and some bad things. And I know a bunch of techno-nuts out there will bitch about a 1.5 mbps download speed, but I love smelling roses while downloading the latest.... shit... I don't download anything. In any case, if I ever want to move to Eau Claire, Wisconsin - it should be easy to continue blogging (probably about cheese and Favre)

Moral of the Story: a 2 year commitment to Clearwire is akin to getting married to a potential stalker.
